Cycling Unit

​

GOAL: To equip students to use cycling as a tool to improve their health, social and emotional well-being and cognitive function today and throughout their lives.

​

BENEFITS:

  • increase muscular strength and flexibility

  • decrease in stress response 

  • improve posture and coordination

  • improve concentration and mental focus

  • prevent illness and disease

Objectives:

  • Identify and demonstrate the set of essential skills necessary for handling and riding a bicycle safely.

  • Define key terms related to cycling equipment and safety

Students must turn in a parent permission slip to participate in this unit.  See word doc. attachment.
